Each School District in Texas is required to appoint at least one employee, to act as a liaison to facilitate
the enrollment in and transfer of records of students in the legal custody of Department of Family and Protective Services.

A child is eligible for Special Education services if he/she demonstrates difficulties in the areas of language/speech, hearing, vision, cognitive/mental, motor/physical development, behavior, or self help. These services are available to all eligible individuals from birth through 21 years of age at no cost to the family regardless the severity of their disability.
